This is undoubtedly the best Windows OS release ever, and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. If you're a professional-minded, technology-savvy individual who EXPECTS a lot of performance, stability, and reliability from their PC then look no further than Windows 7. Aside from the new features added such as side-by-side or stacked window viewing (awesome BTW), the ability to pin prgrams and websites to the taskbar for easier access to your favorites, a new and improved "Library" file organization system that integrates seamlessly with Windows Explorer, Windows 7 is more stable and reliable as any previous OS and then some. XP was the precursor, and Windows 7 is the new kid on the block. All your computing needs can be handled and handled again on a PC running Windows 7 Home Premium - do yourself a favor and get into the new age of PC computing by picking up a copy Windows 7 Home Premium today!

Windows 7 is what everyone looks for in an operating system: something that just works, causes no headaches and lets you do your thing. It is the most reliable OS on the market, delivers on features and is lightweight enough for all systems; if your PC can run XP, it can run Windows 7.Home Premium has the best features the home user needs: solid performance, great multimedia integration thanks to Windows Media Center and DLNA "Play-To" functionality, built-in parental controls for games and websites, as well as a very robust security layer to prevent you (or someone nefarious) from damaging your system.

Windows 7 gracefully gets out of your way when you need to concentrate on your work or your life, and makes it easier to get things done.

I've been using and writing about Windows 7 since it became available. The features that have been added, like Shake, Snap, and Peek, the Action Center, the new backgrounds for the desktop, and Homegroups are incredible. If you're moving up from XP, you'll love the Start Search feature, which enables you to search for virtually anything right from the Start menu. Even if you don't know the name of a file you can search for a specific, unique word in it. You can save your searches too, and they are "smart" and update themselves automatically each time you access them. Driver support is great too; I've never had a piece of hardware fail to install, and if the driver isn't in the driver library it'll go online to find it. If you're moving from XP or upgrading from Vista, Windows 7 is certainly worth the price.

I downloaded the Beta when it became available in January, 2009, and the RC when it became available. I was so impressed with it that I pre-ordered 6 copies for the whole family when the opportunity to get them for $50 each was offered in July, 2009.I've been using computers since the early 80's, and Windows 7 is definitely the best operating system I have ever used. It's incredibly stable (I haven't seen a Blue Screen of Death in the 22 months that I have been using it), very easy to install and to use, and I love how it looks. I recommend it to everyone using earlier versions of Windows - well worth the money.

Finally a Windows version that works! Windows 7 is the best version of Windows I've seen in my long relationship with Microsoft. The upgrade went very easy and i've yet to experience a problem. The only negative I would point to is the time it takes to maintain the OS. When upgrades are available they are handled well but they seem to have increased the delay in shutdown and startup when applied.
